Rosquil House BB

I loved looking out over the backyard with its goldfish, plants, and water features. The big kitchen was beautiful and clean, with absolutely everything anyone could want. Jack was so friendly and welcoming, and I liked how peaceful the location was, away from the city centre noise, while still being convenient for town and the river walk. Everything was great, and I’ll definitely plan another visit.

The accommodation is set back off the road, so it’s really quiet. The room was very clean and tidy, and the shower was nice and hot. The host was helpful and said to treat the kitchen as your own. I’d highly recommend it.

Jack was a wonderful host, and our family of five felt right at home at The Nore River House. It’s about a 10-minute walk into the city centre and around 15 minutes from the train station. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were large and modern. The light breakfast had cereal, fruit, meat and cheese, yogurt, tea, coffee, and juice, which was a great start to the day. We used the fridge for sandwiches and drinks, and my husband and I enjoyed a wee whisky on the patio in the evening. Highly recommend!

Jack made sure we had a great stay and even drove me to Enterprise so I didn’t have to walk. He was helpful, informative, and let us check in early. The rooms were clean and worked well for our one-night stay. Breakfast was great, and my daughter loved the fish in the garden. Nore River House is also within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Kilkenny.
