Zoe Bistro & Accommodation

Greg and Barbara really go out of their way to make it feel special. The rooms are newly decorated, warm, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat, all freshly made and served with love: croissants like in France, coffee like in Italy, and scrambled eggs presented like a little work of art. Such a welcoming place, and surely the best breakfast spot in Ireland! We’ll come back and recommend "Zoe" to anyone travelling the Western Coast of Ireland. 10 stars plus. 💗 Two travellers from Germany.

We had a hard time leaving. Our group of nine kept making little oohs and aahs over breakfast, which was every bit as good as Greg had promised. Greg and Barbara made us feel so welcome, and the accommodation was warm, clean, and spacious. A tremendous stay at Zoe.

We arrived in Kilrush without a booking and stopped at Zoe’s, not expecting to find a room. Luckily, one was free, and Greg was so nice. He suggested we include breakfast, saying it was an experience, and he was right. Barbara was really attentive, bringing out one delicious dish after another. There was so much food that we couldn’t finish even half of it, and everything was amazing. I’d return to Kilrush just for breakfast at Zoe’s!

The breakfast alone is worth remembering: fresh fruit, pancakes baked that morning, bread and croissants, plus a perfectly cooked breakfast, beautifully presented. I’m vegetarian and dairy-free, so I often have few breakfast options, but Gregg asked carefully about my preferences when we arrived and said he’d cater for them. He did. We stayed a few days, and Barbars was warm and attentive each morning, remembering all the little things we liked. She even gave us bags for taking away what we couldn’t manage from the huge spread. Greg and Barbara clearly care about their guests. We were staying in the B&B and were lucky to be upgraded to the fantastic apartment. It’s very spacious and well equipped, with a large sunroom, an outside balcony area, and great living and sleeping areas. Though right in the middle of town, it was very quiet, and free parking outside was a bonus. We had a wonderful stay at Zoe's. Highly recommended, especially if you want a breakfast to remember!
