That third woman working there was amazing. She clearly loves her job, and it was fun talking with her. Her recommendations helped me choose my order, which was gold. The hotel itself is historic and wonderful, and the food they offer is really good. I asked for a sea-view room and was told it would have a view. Well, see the picture from my window. That’s not what I meant! The rooms are expectably old, so I have no complaint about that, but there’s no sound isolation. We could hear everything from the next room, including the TV, water tap, shower, and toilet. As for the other service, there were two younger women and a third woman. The younger ones walked through the restaurant looking at the ground and barely noticed guests asking for drinks or coffee in the morning. Sorry for this review.

The restaurant was a real plus. I really enjoyed both dinner and breakfast during my October 2025 stay. The location and view were nice, and the building has lots of character. The room, though, was very dated, with stained carpet and mold in the shower stall. Given its condition, I wouldn’t stay here again.

We’d just come over from England for our first trip to Ireland and weren’t sure what to expect. The hotel turned out to be such a lovely surprise: comfortable, beautiful, and staffed by people who were warm and accommodating. The food was delicious too, and even with our fairly large group ordering different things, everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend it!

The beer garden out front has a view that’s hard to beat. The place can be almost empty one minute and packed with parties and functions the next, but the staff are always friendly and the beer is consistently good. It’s a smart hotel and a friendly local, and feels like the heart of Knightstown.

We had to change our dinner booking, and the woman at reception was really friendly and helpful about it. The food was delicious, with generous portions at reasonable prices. They even boxed up our leftover pizza for us to take back. Such a gorgeous hotel.
