The staff made us feel very welcome, especially Peter, who was friendly and really helpful. We ate dinner there both nights and enjoyed it, and breakfast was great too. The rooms were clean and comfy. Just got back from another two-night stay, and it definitely won't be my last.

We had our car parked right outside room 124, which was on the ground floor and just seconds from the back door. That was handy with our two well-behaved, middle-aged dogs. The room was bright, airy, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. My two adult children and I had a friendly, comfortable stay at Peacockes Hotel last weekend. The restaurant and bar felt small and homely, and the food from the small menu was very good. The location was excellent. I'm happy to recommend this dog-friendly hotel and will definitely return. We stopped in for carvery lunch and were very happy with it. There was a good selection of hot food, nicely presented and served by really friendly staff. While my two sisters and I ate, a live band played traditional Irish music and there was Irish dancing too. Such a lovely experience. The hotel was spotless, the staff were lovely, and there's a nice craft shop on site. We'd definitely come back. Well done to everyone at the Peacock hotel.

The restaurant menu was limited, seemed to shrink each night we stayed, and felt quite expensive. That may be why it was mostly empty. We found the room clean and a reasonable size, but with no A/C we had to leave the small window open overnight, and the main road beside the hotel made it noisy. The shower had phenomenal pressure and the bath filled in no time. Staff were all pleasant and went out of their way to help, though there weren't many around at times. I know getting staff has been hard due to Covid. It's a nice base for day trips around Connemara, and the place felt like it was finding its feet again after a difficult time. I'm sure it'll be lovely once things get back to normal.

We slept like babies in the cosy, comfortable rooms. The staff were so friendly, and social distancing was well observed. Dinner was delicious, tasty, and presented beautifully. What a gem, we stayed recently and can highly recommend it. We'll be back soon!
