Central Hostel

The Townhouse was a great fit for a stay with my mom and toddler. It was very clean, simple and affordable for the area, and the authentic Irish town made for a lovely experience. The Cliffs of Moher are only 20 minutes away. One tip: contact the owner before you arrive so he can meet you with the key.

We stopped here for the night on a long drive to Galway, and Johnny, the owner, was really friendly and checked if we needed anything. The room was lovely and clean, and after hostels and Airbnbs, these were the best showers we’d had on our trip. The temperature was perfect and there were plenty of towels. A kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided too. We slept really well but had to leave early. Wish we’d stayed longer! If we pass through again, we’d definitely stay here.

We were a group of 15 and had plenty of room at the Townhouse, so we all fit comfortably. It’s right by some great shops and pubs, and very close to the beach. Johnny was kind and accommodating. The place was good, clean and affordable. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, 10/10, and we’ll definitely be back.

This is a small, simple family-run place right in the middle of town. You can walk to all the great pubs and a large supermarket. The rooms and shared areas are clean and well kept. Room 4 is the best, with a view over the main street.
