The Keadeen Hotel

The staff are the real treasure at The Keadeen. Tina, Robbie, and especially Declan, who was our main person on the day, took such care of us. My husband and I got married there in December 2025, and the day was perfect. The food was excellent, the decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. I really can’t find enough words for the care, love, and attention to detail we experienced. Thank you to everyone at The Keadeen.

The Keadeen Hotel is one of our favourite venues to photograph weddings. Its gardens are beautiful, so couples don’t need to travel elsewhere for photos. Sharon and the team take great care of both couples and suppliers, and things always run on time in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We’ve seen plenty of venues as wedding photographers, and this one is a standout. We’d highly recommend it to couples planning an elegant, smooth wedding day in Kildare. The room itself was nice, and most of the staff were pleasant, which makes the lack of follow-up all the more disappointing. It was winter and the room stayed uncomfortably cold all evening and night, with no heating on. I called reception twice and was told it would be on soon, but it never came on. They said a mini heater was the only option, though other guests had taken them all. I raised it at checkout and the woman just shrugged. My follow-up email also got no reply. Even a simple acknowledgement or apology would have helped.

The hotel has a lovely old-world feel, and the atmosphere is charming. My suite was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, though the sofa was shabby and the hallways felt tired and smelled damp. The bathroom was brand new, but its heater didn’t work, and the room felt chilly overall. The Leisure Centre is clean and has good amenities, but it’s very dated. There’s a lot of potential here if the updating continues. A few small details could have made the stay exceptional.
