This was a last-minute booking, but it turned out as well as possible. Sinead welcomed us right away and was such a friendly host. The beautiful house sits on top of a hill, surrounded by peaceful quiet. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed and a big bathroom. Breakfast was freshly made, with a great selection of cereal, jams, bread, tea and coffee. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place that feels like home.

Sinead, the proprietor, keeps her own hens, so the breakfast eggs are fresh. We had a really wonderful weekend and will be back. DeBarra Lodge felt like home from home, only better. Our ensuite room had a lovely big shower, and from it we could see the sea through the trees and lovely rolling hills on the other side.

The views were beautiful, the rooms looked new and were nice and clean, and breakfast was amazing. The bed and pillows were a little hard, and we could hear people walking upstairs. Those were minor things and didn’t take away from our stay.

We were lucky to spot the sign from the main road, since finding a B&B in Rosscarbery can be a bit tricky. They welcomed us warmly, and we got the last room available. The family were nice and open, and we had a good chat over breakfast.

The rooms were large and clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the homemade bread and scones alongside the full Irish cooked breakfast. A beautiful location and a great welcome. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
