After a really long journey, we were tired, so it was a relief to find clean, nicely presented rooms and such a friendly welcome. Reception and bar staff were great. The food menu is simple, but the dishes were cooked very well and came out almost straight away. There was a crackling fire warming the reception. For a 3 star hotel, it hit the spot, and I can't complain. Thanks a million, from an Englishman to an Irishman! 👍

We enjoyed watching the ships come and go. Galway races week had just ended during our stay, so there were lots of horse boxes waiting to head home. The hotel felt friendly and good for families, with a playroom. Food was lovely, and the staff were great about answering our questions. The rooms are basic, but the harbour view made us happy.

We spent five days here and had a very relaxing holiday, with good food and a wonderful sea view. As on our first two visits, the staff looked after us so well. The hotel is being refurbished and should be even better once a few problems are sorted out. We hope to return soon. Anne and Joe McGovern.

The room was clean and tidy, the meals were great, and the staff were very friendly and polite. We were staying before our ferry crossing on Saturday night, though, and the band made it a rough night. It was meant to finish at 00.30 after starting at 10.30, but it kept getting louder and louder and didn't stop until 00.50. I'd give this place a wide berth on a Saturday night.

The room had a beautiful view of the Harbor, and the train station was only a few minutes' walk away. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and the young woman at the front desk was one of the kindest, hardest-working, most helpful people I've ever met. I hope we get back to Rosslayre someday and can stay longer.
