We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Clare had already made a lovely impression when we spoke on the phone, and then welcomed us so warmly that it felt like visiting family. She suggested two local pubs for dinner and said either would be good. After a lovely meal, we came back to spotless rooms, comfy beds, and warm showers. There was secure, convenient parking for our motorcycles, too. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was a pleasure meeting Clare, her husband, and her family, whose kindness made the stay especially memorable. Old Orchard Lodge was great value for money, and we enjoyed the accommodation and genuine hospitality. We're looking forward to coming back.

The host was kind and helpful, and the room was big, with a comfortable bed and a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was the one letdown: since it was a B&B, we'd expected a full English breakfast, but there were only cereals and a croissant.

Kay was brilliant to deal with, and made booking and planning easy. We stayed in the family room with our two little dogs. It was immaculate and had a perfectly sized en suite. The location is ideal for the ferry terminal and for travelling on into Ireland. I fully recommend it, especially if you get a chance to try the homemade bread.

They were so kind to give me lunch to take on the boat. My dog was welcome too, with separate access to the room so he wouldn't disturb other guests or the shared areas. A beautiful home with a very comfortable bed. Highly recommended.
