It’s easy to get around Skibbereen from here, and the hotel sits right by the river. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff are all so helpful and pleasant. I enjoyed a good pint of Murphys while unwinding, and breakfast was really good too. The full Irish was delicious. A gem of a hotel.

We had a very full, tasty dinner by a roaring fire, and breakfast had everything we needed with pleasant music in the background. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, and the bedroom was nicely presented. Everyone on staff gave great service. We had a lovely overnight stay at The West Cork Hotel in January 2026. For a 3* hotel, it has the atmosphere and feel of a 4*. It’s ideally placed, with plenty of free parking and only a short walk into Skibbereen.

8/10
Our room was just the right size and looked out over the river. It was a pleasant place to spend a quiet evening with a book when we didn’t feel like going to the restaurant or bar. The hotel is a little dated, but good value for the price, and we’d give it a solid four gold stars. It was about to get a little refurbishment during our trip, though that didn’t cause any problems. Easy to find, and Skibbereen is very easy to walk around. We’ll stay again next time we’re this side of Ireland.

We came for a family reunion, and the trip turned out to be everything we could have hoped for and more. The staff were very good, and the food was lovely. It exceeded our expectations.

The room was spacious and well appointed, and parking was available. The staff were helpful, and the food was brilliant. A very nice hotel.
