Ballyroe Lodge

The rooms are beautifully decorated, and we had a great stay at The Ballyroe Lodge Hotel. The food was delicious, so I'd definitely recommend eating at the hotel. Compliments to the chef!

I only ate here, I didn't stay. There's a good choice of food, and it's kid friendly. The dining area is bright, and in summer the outdoor seating would be lovely. There are benches built into the terraced field, with beautiful countryside and mountain views, as well as other outside seating. There's plenty of parking, though some spaces mean a bit of a walk. Some parking is handy to the hotel entrance.

The views from this lovely hotel are breathtaking. The food in both the bar and breakfast rooms was nice but pretty basic, with a limited choice.

This doesn't even deserve one star. I paid a deposit for my wedding, but when unforeseen circumstances meant I had to cancel, I called to ask if the money could be transferred to a voucher. The customer service I got was among the worst I've experienced. Manager Jennifer was shockingly rude near the end of the call, abrupt and dismissive, and made it clear she had no interest in helping. She seemed eager to get off the phone. For a hotel that handles weddings and major events, that felt unbelievably unprofessional. I ended the call disappointed and stunned that customers, especially people planning such important occasions, could be treated with such disrespect. I'd strongly warn anyone considering this hotel to think twice.
