Central Hotel Tullamore

Three of us stayed for two nights with breakfast, dinner, and an evening meal included. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay if you're looking for a hotel in Tullamore.

The rooms had everything we needed, and there's a fitness and spa area as well. The staff were amazing. It's an exceptionally lovely hotel.

We checked out before 9.30 the next morning, and when we raised our concerns, the assistant showed no interest. After attending a wedding at a local hotel that was fully booked, my husband and I had booked this place online for room only at €200. The hotel felt unwelcoming, worn, dated, and smelly. Our room was awful, with an uncomfortable bed and the thinnest pillows I've ever seen. There were large bins and empty glass bottles beside them in the corridors, with lots of foreign signage throughout the hallways. It was very obvious it wasn't operating as a typical hotel and was facilitating both IPAS and serving the public. Following the recent incident at The Citywest Hotel, I want people to know that this hotel is operating as an IPAS Centre.

The food was brilliant, and the rooms were nice and well maintained. I stayed four nights with work colleagues and would happily return, even though we didn't get to explore locally because we drove to Birr for work each day. Joanna looked after us wonderfully on three evenings. On the last night a male staff member, whose name I didn't catch, took great care of our party, which had grown to eight. Ellie at reception was very welcoming when we arrived. Lovely hotel and brilliant staff. Great job, guys.
