We had a lovely breakfast, plenty of it, and the bedroom was comfortable with a great shower. The Dyehouse is only a short walk from central Waterford, yet it was surprisingly peaceful even on Saturday night. The owner was friendly, funny and interesting, explained everything about the room, and gave us lots of local advice. We really enjoyed our night and would definitely recommend it.

The shared spaces feel really homely, with beautiful art displayed throughout. Room 2 was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Liz was kind and attentive, accommodated our late arrival, and took time to show us around and explain the hostel layout. It’s within walking distance of the city’s amenities. We also met Oli the next morning and heard a couple of his stories, well worth listening to. Can’t wait to return.

We never got to stay overnight because the dates unfortunately didn’t work for our family coming from France. Still, the owners were wonderful, and the rooms, décor and atmosphere made an incredible impression on me. When I plan a holiday next year, this guesthouse will be my only choice.

The house and rooms have striking architecture, and the city centre is just a few minutes away. You can park in front of the house, and it’s free at night. The landlord was very nice. The water heater or pump was quite noticeable in the room, though, and breakfast was fairly basic.

Liz made me feel at ease right away and was so welcoming. I had a room that sleeps four all to myself, plus a jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. The continental breakfast next morning was just right, with good percolated coffee. It’s in a quiet part of Waterford.
