During our stay, we saw other guests with rooms on the upper floors flooded overnight. A hotel worker said nothing could be done because they had just one technician, who might only be available later. On our last day, someone got stuck in the flooded, blocked elevator. This was the top of my anti-rating for service in Israel, where service is generally a big problem. Avoid this place. We booked for more than 10 days and were first given a room with three beds instead of four. The room and hotel were so dirty that I don't know what they pay the cleaners for. Breakfast was awful, limited, and tasteless. Worst of all, a cleaner took a personal belonging of great personal value from our room. They said it was by accident and had gone into the laundry, where it was broken and torn to pieces. We only learned this after we started looking for it. They said it had been destroyed and thrown away. There was no apology, nothing.

The reception staff are kind and supportive, and they work really hard to help guests 24/7.

I spent almost three months here on business, so I've had plenty of experience with the hotel. It's not cheap, though things in Israel generally are expensive, with poor service. To be fair, the location is really good for Bat Yam, right in front of the main seaside Bat Yam promenade, with shops and restaurants all around. The views are breathtaking from almost all side and front-facing rooms. Service ranged from poor to nonexistent. Housekeeping only came after repeated requests, and even then did a bad job, missing bathroom sinks, bathtubs, and the kitchen sink. When I asked for the balcony windows to be cleaned, after they hadn't been touched for the whole three months, the cleaner said it wasn't her job. One night, water leaked badly into the bedroom. Management only offered to mop and leave all the doors and windows open for two days so the wet floor and soaked wall could dry. After I complained, they gave me another room for three days. The hot shower stopped working once, and it took three days to fix because it was Shabat weekend. A guest next door had a party with 15 people until 2:00 a.m. Reception did nothing despite repeated complaints. They said they couldn't act, or even send someone to check. It only ended when the police arrived.
