Aquamarine Hotel

The room had recently been painted, but the hotel was still in a miserable state, with neglected rooms and common areas. The bathroom was dreadful. Its old bathtub had been repainted but was chipped, so I couldn’t use the shower and left very early. The windows looked like they hadn’t been washed in years. Wind noise came through the room, and at night there was also loud disco music nearby. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. It was a horrible stay, and Eilat has lost its charm for me, with too many malls and shops and a beach that isn’t very attractive.

The location is nice and it’s cheap, but that’s about all I liked. The hotel seems badly managed, with a broken bathroom door, peeling faux-wood furniture, towel racks falling off the walls, and plaster that’s been patched poorly. Showers were cold. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee was instant. There’s a general lack of care in how things look throughout the hotel.

The building is very old, and there’s a nasty smell in some areas. It’s not very clean, the rooms are bad, and the service is bad too. The beds are old and uncomfortable, and the bathrooms aren’t clean. There’s no Wi-Fi except in the hotel entrance, and the parking lot is always full, especially on weekends. A nightclub nearby played very loud music until 4 AM, making it a really hard night. Anyway, I don’t recommend this place at all.

Don’t book this hotel if you expect to sleep at night. You can hear two or three different loud club tracks at once, all night until 6 or 7 in the morning. The mattresses are very old and the pillows are bad, and the room furniture and air conditioning are unusable, as the photos show. I wouldn’t feel safe using the electricity either, and the shower is no good. Food at the hotel is poor quality with little choice. The place is dirty, and the floor is sticky. If you don’t need any of those things, then maybe it’s for you!
