The pool was clean, sunny, and really nice, and breakfast had plenty of different things to pick from. Nofar at reception helped us switch rooms when the A/C wasn't working. The hotel is right on the boardwalk, close to the beach and Azrieli mall, with good public transportation nearby. The location is hard to beat.

The pool water felt pretty cold, though October may have had something to do with that. Apart from that, we had a great stay. The food was tasty with lots of variety, and there was a coffee and tea machine in the lobby. The staff were so friendly and kind, always smiling, which made the place feel welcoming. I'd recommend it.

Oksana at reception was especially welcoming and took the time to explain the hotel's amenities. We also appreciated the small gift for choosing Astral Maris.eilat, and the reserved guest parking was convenient. Our room was clean, had enough space for three adults, and came with a small balcony and toiletries. There were a few things that could be better. The TV selection was limited, especially for English movies or sports. At dinner on December 29th, between 6:30 and 7:30 PM, the schnitzel counter staff weren't very responsive when we asked about vegetarian food. Only one person tried to check the ingredients. Housekeeping was noticeably more attentive and courteous than the kitchen staff.

The breakfast was a real letdown: stale vegetables, no fruit, oily shakshuka, and very little choice. The pool bar was shut, and the whole area looked neglected. Our room had dust, stained sheets, peeling wallpaper, and no toilet brush. The blow dryer barely worked, and when we asked for another, we were told to collect it at reception and leave a deposit. I chose Astral Maris because it was described as a boutique hotel and had enjoyed this chain before COVID and the current war. This extended weekend was a major disappointment, and I won't stay with them again. The staff were polite, but the property clearly hadn't been maintained for a long time. For the price, it was severely overpriced and nowhere near four-star quality. If I'd booked a two-star place, I would have known what to expect, but this was unacceptable.
