HI Eilat Hostel

The balconies on the floors have a nice view of the Red Sea. Sitting out there in the evening with the breeze is relaxing. The rooms are clean and big enough, with a large bed, a roomy shower, and a kettle with coffee and tea to make yourself. This little hotel is central, near the sea and Eilat's main attractions, and one of the better options for its price.

This hostel is amazing! There are only two people at reception, though. One of the women there made us feel completely unwelcome. If you can, try to check in with someone who's smiling and happy.

For a hostel, this place has a lot: free shampoo and soap, towels, roomy rooms, and cleaning every day that really gets done. The beds are comfortable, the pillows meet my high standards, and reception staff are fantastic, helpful, and nice. I don't know why people choose hotels only about 10 meters away when this has the same noise level for less money. It wasn't cheap by my standards, but compared with Israeli prices it was, and I think it was worth it. I took off a star because our room was in a very noisy party area, which might suit some people but wasn't good for me with my six-year-old son. Still, by hostel standards, it's the best I've ever stayed in. It made me wonder why it's not a hotel!

A clean, well-organized room in a central spot made this a great place for one night. We had to leave early, so we skipped breakfast, which doesn't start until 8 am, quite late for us. I'd come back if I needed a one-night place in Eilat.
