The room was an okay size, but the furniture looked like it came from a flea market. The bathroom felt old too, with dated pastel tiles. I wouldn’t return even at $100 a night, let alone $500. To me it’s a two- or three-star hotel. I’ve traveled all over the world, and even a Holiday Inn expres would be a better choice. The location is great, and the restaurant food was okay. But the buffet had no labels, so if you have a food allergy, you’d better eat somewhere else. When I asked the restaurant staff whether dishes contained nuts or mushrooms, they didn’t know and didn’t even try to find out. Be careful to check what you booked against what you get. My reservation said sea-facing, but the room faced the city, with just a bit of blue visible in a corner. After I complained and argued with three people, they changed my room.

I booked here by mistake and regretted it deeply. The staff seemed unmotivated and unhelpful, and the place was in awful shape: old, broken furniture, torn corridor carpets, and dirty, badly maintained bathrooms and dining hall.

The sea view from our room was perfect, but the rest was very modest and dated. The bathroom ventilation was dead, so bring a roommate who doesn’t need the toilet much. Even the premium room had a cupboard door off its hinges that blocked full access to the clothes, lights that didn’t work, and a tiny terrace where one small plastic chair could barely fit. Don’t come expecting much.

This was our second visit, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great, and the location is hard to beat. Go out the back gate and you’re straight onto the beach.
