Orchid Eilat

The pool was just the right temperature, with a great sea view and baby pools, and breakfast had loads of choices, from cereal and fish to lasagna. We arrived around 11 pm, but the service was still top-notch. When we mentioned to the service lady that we were celebrating our first anniversary, she tried to upgrade our room, though she couldn't. It was nice of her to try. The room was ready and clean, with the AC already on, though I did find someone's pills in a drawer. The bathroom was huge, with double sinks and shower heads, but there were no curtains to keep water from running into the middle of the room, so everything got wet and we didn't enjoy that. The city was quite far, about 15 minutes away. When we saw the service lady again, she asked how we were finding the hotel, and we told her everything was incredible. On our way back, a campaign had waited for us with two glasses. It was an incredible visit for us. Thanks for having us!

After coming to this hotel every year for 15 years, this is definitely my last visit. I paid 2,500₪ a night for a Shangri-La Villa, supposedly the hotel's VIP accommodation, on a weekday and not even a holiday. Inside, things were broken and falling apart: ants in the room, dead light switches, electric curtains that haven't worked for years, and old, crumbling furniture. The TV looks older than the state, and the shower pressure was extremely weak. The dining room food was worse than an army base cafeteria. I do have to say the staff service was very good, but that doesn't change how poor the accommodation is. An absolute disgrace and shame.

The atmosphere, service, food, huts, paths, and location were all awesome. Can't wait to come back.

We stayed midweek in the off season and had a great time. The hotel has a style and concept we liked, the rooms were beautiful, breakfast tasty, and the staff nice. We'll come back.
