The hospitality was hard to beat. They really tried to make guests comfortable and accommodate them. My room was very spacious, with an amazing view of the Dead Sea. Both dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I'd happily come back.

After a day of walking, we unwound at the indoor pool and steam room as the sun began to set and we'd been out in the Dead Sea. We were here for one night during our tour so we could float in the sea. Check-in had a snag because our keys didn't work. After the second failed key, someone brought us a physical key for the room. The food service was okay, and although there weren't many choices for vegetarians, what was available was delicious.

I won't be staying here again. We reserved a double room for three people and paid an extra charge at check-in because I had my baby with me. But when we got to the room, there were only two beds. We went back to complain, and the receptionist told us to return the next day to speak to the person who had checked us in, since that person's shift was over. Luckily, a friend travelling with us had her own room and offered to share it with one of us.

My mom and I booked one night and paid ahead, but at check-in they asked for another $50. The website hadn't mentioned any extra fees, and when we questioned it, they said it had been left off by mistake. They were rude and mocked us because we're American. I don't recommend staying here.

I absolutely loved my stay at Royal. The hotel needs renovation, and the infrastructure could use some improvement, but the service, food, and staff attitude were exceptional. Everyone treated us with warmth and professionalism, which made the stay wonderful.
