Carmel Beach Towers

With the Carmel Mountain rising behind it, the beach has a peaceful feel and is part of Haifa's wider Carmel area, near the Baha'i Gardens and other attractions. Along the Mediterranean shore, Carmel Beach has clear blue water, golden sand and lovely views of both the sea and city. It's a scenic place for a day out, whether you want to swim, sunbathe, play beach sports or take a slow walk along the coast. Showers and changing rooms are available, with cafes and restaurants nearby. Locals and visitors alike can enjoy the relaxing setting.

I still love this beach. I first wrote this in June 2013, and it’s still beautiful. The sand is soft and golden, the water is clear, and the breaker means you can always get into the water. There are coffee shops around, but they aren’t too close, so the beach stays a bit quieter. Walk north and you’ll reach a rockier stretch where kids and adults can spend hours searching for shells. I think it’s the most beautiful beach in Israel.

There’s plenty to use here, including a volleyball court, designated swimming areas, showers and changing rooms. Cafes and lively music nearby make it easy to find something to eat, and roadside parking is readily available. It’s also a lovely place to watch the sun sink into the horizon, with an open, unobstructed view.
