Carmela was a great pick for a birthday stay in Haifa. We could walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, and wine bars, while the hotel itself stayed remarkably quiet. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we slept well. Having secure, inexpensive parking on site was a real plus, and the lobby worked nicely for catching up with friends. The hospitality felt warm and generous. We also appreciated the self-serve bar, open around the clock with coffee, cookies, and fruit. It’s good value and a top choice if you’re looking for a non-kosher place.

The staff were exceptional, and parking on site was easy. The rooms are clean and roomy, with a great location for walking to Haifa’s main attractions. I’d definitely stay here again.

We spent three nights here and really loved it. Whenever anything came up, the staff were helpful and dealt with it right away. Our room was very clean and finished to a high standard. There were plenty of decent breakfast options, and we enjoyed having a full breakfast. I’d really recommend it.

The balcony looks straight at an ugly house across the street, with laundry hanging there. Breakfast at the nearby restaurants was really low quality too. We also found a huge cockroach in the bathroom at night, and the reception staff came across as condescending. Our contact with the hotel was dismissive as well.

We had a lovely time, even though we ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. The coffee house was about a five-minute walk away and didn’t open until 10am, so we chose another place to eat. I’m not sure whether the arrangement was connected to the covid situation. The hotel itself was clean and welcoming, with a nice feel, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun over cappuccino and espresso.
