The breakfast and its gentle music were the icing on the cake for this old lady. Evgeny and Ofer, thank you! The staff were friendly and professional, and the room had the comfort any traveller needs. The bed was especially kind to an 80-year-old’s back. I wish I could live there. It was a brilliant start to my time in Haifa.

There are open areas where you can sit and read, and coffee and water are available for a few shekels. The hotel has a lot of history and a kitschy look throughout. It’s on a very busy, noisy street, though things quiet down somewhat overnight. There are four parking spots, but you’ll need a car or public transit to sightsee. Small neighborhood shops and restaurants are within walking distance. No elevator, and lots of stairs.
