I booked at the last minute because I don’t have a place to live right now, and the weather was too bad for camping. My one real frustration was that I couldn’t change the reservation after booking so late, and had to pay for a night I missed because my plans and life changed. Otherwise, I was happy with the place. The man at the desk when I arrived was polite and helpful, and seemed to have lived overseas at some point. There were a few people with dogs around, and I like places that welcome pets. The room was cute and fine for me, or for me and one other person. It had a microwave, small stovetop, full-size fridge, kumkum, coffee machine, and towels, plus a nice closet for unpacking. No oven. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were softer than I like, so I stacked them to sleep. Wi-Fi was strong. The bathroom ceiling over the shower was peeling and could use repair, but it didn’t bother me. The window looked out on gorgeous waves crashing. The value is good, and would be even better with a downstairs buffet breakfast and laundry machines. If you use public transit, note that getting to the bus stop outside means stairs and a pedestrian bridge. There’s no ramp or underground passage. If you’re uneasy with heights like I am, or carrying heavy bags, that could be a problem. Hof hacarmel train station is about a 25 minute walk down the same road. I wouldn’t do that walk with luggage.
