The backyard was the main reason I picked this hostel, and it really is great. I also liked the common areas much more than the room. The location is good, and the staff are quite pleasant. The rooms are just okay. The beds are short and awkward even for someone of average height, so taller people may have an even harder time. There’s nowhere to put your personal things, and the beds have no curtains. The toilet and shower are in the room, but the space is way too small.

The breakfast was a real highlight, and the staff were kind and straightforward. The shared kitchen was well equipped, with a stove, kettle, coffee and tea, microwave, toaster oven, fridge, storage, and dishes. It’s a nice little place downtown and among the cheapest options in the city, though the hygiene is below par. This is about the shared accommodation. I wasn’t expecting the bed to be made, and they gave me sheets that I believe were clean, but I still got eaten alive by bed bugs. The tiny bathroom in the room was dirty and unpleasant.

I’d stay here again. The hostel is clean throughout, looks cool, and offers good value. It feels very safe, with a camera on the bell, and the staff are around whenever you need help. The terrace downstairs is a nice spot to chat with other guests.

The common spaces were comfortable, and the garden was lovely. The staff were nice, especially the woman handling breakfast, though the girls at reception were pretty crabby. It’s a clean place in a safe area, about a five-minute walk from the train station and 15 minutes from the Bahai Gardens. For 100 ils a night, I had a bed in an eight-person women’s dorm with an ensuite bathroom, plenty of room, and breakfast included. There were hooks, a mirror, and an extra sink in the room.

The caretaker was a wonderful, friendly woman who made us a great breakfast each morning. The place is well run and felt safe, even though that part of Jaffa Road looks a bit shady. We stayed during a Baha'i pilgrimage in 2006, in one of the cheaper rooms. It was basic but clean, and good value for such a low price. I’d definitely come back.
