The Bahais gardens are an easy, quick walk away. It’s a simple hostel in a good spot, and having a kitchen is useful. There aren’t many guests, so it stays quiet.

We got there at 5:30pm and found the place double booked. I couldn’t reach the manager, and he still hasn’t replied to my email. I’d written to him the week before to say we might be late because of the Sabbat, and he said that was fine. Thankfully, someone was around, so I booked another hostel across town. Otherwise we’d have been waiting until 9pm for him to show up and let us in. The neighborhood also looked rough.

The rooms were very damp. The kettle leaked, and neither the shower nor the TV worked. The teapot didn’t work either.

The kitchen had everything we needed, and the WiFi was fast. We were very comfortable here, a great place.

It’s cheap, but very basic and not especially clean.
