Golden Crown Hotel

Michael served us a breakfast I’d call the best I’ve had at a hotel. He was wonderful, and the meal was even better than the amazing rooms. I’d recommend the place to families, big or small, and even to people coming just to use the pool. Ten out of ten, and many thanks to Michael.

There wasn’t really anywhere pleasant to walk nearby. The hotel felt like an island, with no promenade, park, or nice street close by. It’s beside an industrial area, and when I asked reception where I could go for a short morning run, the man there told me to avoid the neighboring area and just walk around the hotel. A nearby mosque’s loudspeaker was also bothersome, and I couldn’t lock my room door from the inside. The pool was empty. Inside, the hotel was clean and fine, the rooms were okay, the food was very good, and the service was nice.

The valley view was beautiful, and the lobby looked lovely. We had good food, too. Our first-floor room and the hallways seemed a little run down, though. The air conditioning wasn’t working, but thankfully it never got too hot. By Israeli hotel standards, this is about as good as it gets.

The staff were helpful, and the food was tasty with generous portions. Since the hotel isn’t in the city center, it’s handy that the bus stop is nearby. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t get to use it. The gym has two ellipticals, a treadmill, a weight machine, and a few free weights. It’s a nice hotel, though it could use some renovation.
