The sledges you can hire for the kids are a lot of fun, and I love the snow at Hermon. Just be ready for long, chaotic lines for everything, including food and the cable car. People push and cut in from all sides, which can get dangerous. Leave lots of time and don't be in a rush.
It was sunny and so warm that we were sweating in short sleeves, and later the kids were crying from sunburn. We came prepared with warm clothes and spare underwear, but ended up not needing them. Since we don't get snowfall in our country, we hadn't thought to bring sunscreen or sunglasses. If you want to enjoy the resort, make sure you protect yourself from the strong UV.
The local breakfast was the best part, and the location is so handy: Al Skeikh mountain road is close, with the town's best bars and restaurants on the same street. We didn't need a car at all. The rooms were spacious and sooo clean. Loved this place, and we'll definitely come back.
After a few hours outside building a giant snowman and an igloo, I love the Golan even more. Seeing the snow fall made me so happy. I LOVE THE SNOW!
Being Canadian, seeing all that snow made me so happy. We took the dog for a walk in the snow at the foot of the mountain. I might make it a tradition.
