Margoa Hotel Netanya

It isn't a five-star place in price or in fancy extras, but it is spotless, always and everywhere. The food is fresh and plentiful, and the staff are incredibly attentive. Great location, service, and price. I highly recommend it.

The hotel and rooms are old, and during our three-night stay our room was never cleaned. On the third day, we put out the tag and specifically asked the floor staff to clean it, but nothing happened. I raised the problem with receptionist Svetlana, and the interaction was humiliating. She was completely unfriendly and openly disrespectful. If you're after the worst experience of your life, this is the place.

Hotel Margoa gave us a warm welcome, with pleasant, cooperative staff at reception and in the dining hall. Breakfast and dinner had a range of first-rate choices, as good as what I've had at five-star hotels charging twice as much or more. The decor is a little dated and worn, but I am too, and the service made for an excellent stay. The location is ideal, across from the beach and just around the corner from the town center, food, entertainment, and transport.

We had comfortable rooms, though some were cramped and others were huge. We ended up using one of the larger rooms to work together in the evenings, since there wasn't another place for our delegation to gather. The Wi-Fi was good, and the breakfast buffet was tasty and pleasant. It was a decent hotel for our work trip.
