Please stay away. The building is old, and the place was very dirty. Housekeeping was poor, with hair across the floor and on the bed under the pillows. The lobby smelled bad when we arrived, and the elevator had a musty odor. The lobby also looked nothing like the photos on booking.com. We raised that and asked for a full refund, but they refused, saying hotel policy didn’t allow it. They also said we had used the room because we’d been there for half an hour. We’d just had a very long day, were shocked by the condition of the facility, and spent some time discussing what to do. Calling that “using the room” and denying a refund over it was outrageous. I do not recommend this place.

We had two rooms during our week here, with a two-day break between stays. In the first room, everything worked perfectly. In the second, the safe had no battery and didn’t work, and the little fridge had no shelf and froze our food. We reported both issues at the start of the stay, but neither was fixed before we came back. The hotel is cozy and in a great location, with free coffee and cold water. Nearly all the staff speak English, and they’re friendly and quite helpful. Great place, though some of the equipment could be better maintained.

The rooms were clean, fresh, and had everything you’d expect, and the reception was nice too. It’s a friendly, pleasant hotel that gives you more than you pay for. The value for money was unexpectedly good, and the price-to-value ratio deserves five stars. Highly recommended.

The road outside the hotel is really loud. I also found the front desk’s timing intrusive. When I was leaving for the day, they stopped me to ask for my room number, and I didn’t understand why that mattered as I was heading out. On checkout day, they knocked to remind me to leave within a minute of checkout time. A call or a few minutes’ wait would have been better.

Stay away. I had a horrible experience during a lengthy stay at Armon Hayarkon. Over time, I found out things I’d tried to dismiss, but they were right there in plain sight. I was robbed in my room after stepping into the lobby for a few moments one evening. The manager left the keys in the main drawer in the lobby, where anyone could see them. He told guests there was no one at the main desk in the evenings or at night, so he left the keys there. The safety boxes in my room and other rooms were broken. The hotel said they couldn’t use their cameras to track the thief. I was also shocked to learn that the longtime top manager goes into rooms and snoops around. He came into my room while I was in the bathroom, looked very uncomfortable, and turned red. I couldn’t think the worst of him until I saw him a couple more times entering occupied rooms, with that same look of having been caught. Homeless people also come into the hotel at night and stay in rooms. And when things happen there, the hotel won’t call the authorities. I actually saw the manager leave one of the hotel rooms and put a threatening note on the door for an intruder. There are plenty of smaller problems too. When you arrive, the manager may just stare at you instead of helping with your suitcases. There are lots of good business hotels, so keep yourself safe and stay away from this bad one.
