Backstage Hotel-an Atlas Boutique Hotel

The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is genuinely great, but the reservation handling and attitude from management ruined the experience. I booked the backstage breakfast for four to celebrate my birthday, then got a message the day before saying it was for two. When I contacted the hotel, they said they couldn’t help at all and were surprisingly rude and dismissive. Poor reservation handling, no customer focus, and an unpleasant attitude. On your birthday, you expect basic respect. Very disappointing.

The service stood out, everyone was super friendly and helpful. There’s also a happy hour from 4 to 6 that gives the stay a nice special touch. The rooms are small, but cozy and well designed, and the central location means you can walk almost anywhere in Tel Aviv.

Apart from the breakfast setup, the stay was superb. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms spotless, and breakfast excellent. But we weren’t told when booking that we’d have to reserve a breakfast time at check-in, and it caused unnecessary stress. On our weekend away, we nearly had to eat at 8:30, and only got moved to 10:30 after insisting. Other guests had the same problem, so it made for a poor first impression. Even with reservations, people had to wait for a seat. Without late checkout, the 10:30 slot would have meant checking out before breakfast. For a hotel at this price, that policy feels out of place.

A very nice boutique hotel in the old Ohel theater building, just off Dizengoff square. The rooms are nice and breakfast is great, and the location is excellent. Service can be erratic, the WiFi is spotty, and there’s no bar at night. I hope this new hotel can sort out a few of those kinks.
