Embassy Hotel Tel Aviv

Just a few steps from the beach, this charming hotel has lovely decor and generous open spaces. Breakfast was really good, and snacks were available any time. I highly recommend it.

Construction right outside was extremely noisy, with jackhammers, drilling and workers shouting at all hours. I even added a video showing the work still going on at 11pm. The staff were rude and dismissive, and the customer service was absolutely terrible. They acted like they couldn't speak English, switching between Hebrew and English in a way that added to the sense of incompetence. I had to request an early checkout because of an unforeseen situation, and went back and forth with Expedia and hotel management. Neither showed any understanding. The rooms are very basic, with old, dirty carpet that gave me a Motel 6 vibe. Housekeeping was just as poor: after being out for hours, I came back to an unmade bed, and I'm not sure anything had been tidied. It also didn't feel family friendly. If you want to see people walking around with rifles across their chest, this is the place. I don't recommend it at all. Look elsewhere.

Getting to the airport was easy by bus 238 or by train, and the neighbourhood felt safe. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Great location, highly recommended.

I booked late at night, then decided almost immediately to cancel after reading other reviews. My partner called the hotel, and they said they'd cancel it for a 100 ILS fee. But the next morning I found they'd marked me as a “no-show” and charged the full stay, ignoring that agreement. I feel misled and unfairly charged. It was frustrating and unprofessional, and I hope others are cautious about booking here. I had two photos: one was a screenshot showing the cancellation marked as « no show «, and the other was of beautiful Tel Aviv, to keep things optimistic. There are so many nice hotels in Tel Aviv with great locations, good service, and lovely rooms at the same rate. Hope you enjoy your stay in Israel.
