Hotel Rothschild 22 Tel Aviv

Breakfast was a real plus, with fresh ingredients and a good range of choices. The dining room was calm, and service was smooth and professional. I stayed on the 8th floor at Rothschild 22, where the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is perfect, right on one of Tel Aviv’s most iconic streets. A solid stay overall, with a nice mix of comfort, location, and a good breakfast.

The access to the lounge, with snacks, drinks, and a breathtaking city view, was great, and breakfast was good too. But the hotel could have been much better if not for several serious problems. The Wi-Fi was public and had no password, there were cockroaches in the bathroom, and there was no ventilation in the room, so it was hard to clear the humidity after a shower. The lamps hung so low that I kept hitting my head on them.

The bathroom door wouldn’t shut fully, which was awkward with multiple guests, and the shower door leaked water onto the floor. The curtains were too small, so bright sunlight came into the room from 6:30 a.m. There were no bedside tables, and the doors slammed loudly enough to wake us when other guests came and went. The coffee machine was broken, and reception didn’t fix it after we asked. The hotel looks nice from the outside, but these room issues made the stay less pleasant. I’ve seen older reviews mentioning the same problems for years. It was fine, but only 3/5, and I wouldn’t stay again. I’m sure they’ll notify the relevant authorities, who will do nothing about it.

The location is great, but the room was small at 20 square meters, with only basic amenities. Breakfast was average, and the sound insulation was poor. We booked a room for a couple.
