Jaffa Garden boutique

The rooms are comfortable and roomy, and most have been renovated since the older photos. The hotel sits right in the middle of old Jaffa, so it’s a great base, though there is some noise. The bakery nearby has really good food, but the “breakfast included” offer is just drinks and coupons worth 6 shekels each. We had three per person for two nights, used all six on the first day, and still had to pay part of the cost ourselves. On the second morning, one staff member and I had a nice chat, and he gave me six extra coupons. Thanks! 👍😉

We barely spent time in the hotel, so the windowless room worked out okay, and we didn’t have a noise problem. Breakfast on the balcony, looking toward the clock tower, was wonderful, and the staff were very nice. The room’s fixtures and furnishings were a little broken, and it could have been cleaner. For what we paid, I wasn’t expecting more, and all in all we had a nice stay.

The room was tidy and clean, with a great view, and we got yogurt in the morning, which was a nice touch. There’s also a coffee and water machine available around the clock. The host was really nice when he was there, and the stay felt like good value for the price. A few practical things could be better: they should respond more readily to calls and emails, add a bin by the bed since the only small one is in the toilet, and provide something to clear the water that collects on the shower floor. I enjoyed my stay, and the other reviews I’d seen didn’t do the place justice.

The location made it easy to reach the beach, historic park and markets, and the terrace overlooking the clock tower was lovely, with free coffee and tea. Service was helpful, and the vouchers covered excellent pastries at a nearby bakery. Our room was clean enough, but it was small, had no chairs, and didn’t have the balcony we’d booked. The outdoor area had been taken over by a neighboring family who acted as if it belonged to them. The photos make the place look smarter than it is. Still, for the price and location, we were happy enough.
