JI Rothschild Tel Aviv

We ended up finding somewhere else to stay and disputing the payment through booking.com. I’d avoid the apartments of JI Rothschild. We booked because the hotel had a very good 8.7 rating, but on arrival the bathroom tap was rusty and the walls were dirty and damaged. The manager was friendly over the phone, though he said it would take four hours to come by and work out a solution. One of the worst experiences I nearly had.

The location is very central, with everything within walking distance, and the price was relatively cheap for Tel Aviv. Inside, though, the apartment ceiling was only 1.80m high, so I couldn’t stand upright. The bathroom was extremely tiny and the low ceiling meant I had to crouch while showering. The building facade and escalators don’t look appealing and probably need renovation. There’s a gap under the apartment door, so you hear other guests arriving. The windows didn’t close properly and couldn’t be locked, making the room cold and noisy at night, and leaving me feeling a bit unsafe.

Shocking service. My late check-in was at 1AM, and the entry information they gave me was wrong. I ended up going to another hotel, and they never refunded me. A big warning, I can’t recommend this place.

Compared with the nearby hotels, this is a good option and it is clean. But water leaks from the shower into the kitchen below, creating a risk of death because of the electricity.
