Kubler's House

The entrance is lovely, with a beautiful marble sink and a great cast-iron staircase up to the bedroom. But the digital lock didn’t work when we arrived and needed fixing, so we were stuck inside for the afternoon. We also found rubbish from previous guests in the bins. There was just one pillow for two people, no soap, toiletries, or dishcloths, and only two towels. The bed had a single blanket inside a double duvet cover. Wi-Fi was poor, and there was no TV, only a screen that required your own Netflix account. We had no iron during the first week, the shared washing machine was broken, the microwave didn’t work, and only one of the two cooking zones worked. A fan outside the bedroom window made a terribly loud humming noise. There wasn’t a comfortable chair, just one straight sofa where you couldn’t sit facing each other, and not even a small table for a computer, writing, or eating. For two weeks, eating with a plate on my lap while sitting on the floor, doing laundry in the sink, cooking on one stove, sweeping beach sand with only a dustpan, and sleeping under the same sheet without a decent blanket felt a lot like camping.

I stayed there for a few months and enjoyed every day. Excellent.

Set in a renovated complex between Jaffa, Florentin, and Neve Tzedek, three of Tel Aviv-Yafo’s prettiest areas, Kubler's House made a great base for our visit. Our apartment felt bright, clean, elegant, and really cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting TLV.

The apartment was clean and quiet, and the whole complex was great. The staff were really kind and generous too. Highly recommended 👍👍
