The desk staff member was the worst part of my stay, openly rude and unbelievably arrogant. I’ve spent 2.5 years staying in hotels while traveling around the world and never encountered anyone like him. The cramped room didn’t help: the bed filled it wall to wall, with no space for luggage, and the tiny glass shower was in the room. The bathroom was barebones, with an unfinished floor. It was overpriced, too. I ended up here after asking at many hotels and finding them full, so I was desperate. I stayed several years ago, and from what I hear it may be even worse now. Tel Aviv left me with a bad impression, partly because of that man and the overpriced room.

They wanted cash on arrival, which should have been my first warning. Then there was the noisy junction and the 300 Shekels charge for this dump. Two men arrived, and even though they call themselves "gay friendly," they asked if we wanted two rooms. This place doesn't seem friendly to anyone. The only link to a Bauhaus building is that both were once building sites, except this one still is. Read the other reviews and believe them. Stay away.

I paid for a room using credit card points under the name 'Emanuel Inn,' but when I got there they said I had to pay again upfront. We argued about it for a while, though the longer I stayed the more I felt I should leave. The lobby was messy and dark, the entrance door wouldn't stay shut and was being held with wire, and the place seemed completely empty. I didn't see the rooms, so maybe they're nice.

The location is perfect, but I really wouldn't stay here. It was dirty, with old beds and poor service. The thought of showering there was disgusting. Better to sleep in the street, honestly, even a homeless person would probably choose somewhere else. Save yourself the time, money, and nerves and book somewhere else.

They were renovating while we were there, but the front desk hadn't mentioned it when we booked. Our windows were covered, there was no view, and it felt like hell. At 10 am, workers started drilling in the room beside us while we were asleep, even though the front desk had assured us the night before that no one would be working in the morning. One worker also let himself into our room in the evening, saying he wanted to paint the door. The shower stream was weak, the water only lukewarm, and there was no towel service. The room phone didn't work either. The pictures made the hotel look very different from reality. There was no lobby or terrace to sit in, no coffee station in the room as described, and the decor was very dated. When we arrived, the front desk worker was asleep on the counter and took five minutes to wake up. Worst hotel I've ever been to. Stay as far away as you can.
