Orchid Tel Aviv

Good value for the money, and a good hotel, even if the nearby Renaissance Hotel is in another league. The rooms could be more spacious. I also would have liked a little side table and more outlets, especially by the bed.

We felt looked after the whole time at Orchid Tel Aviv Hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and nicely laid out, and the location made it easy to get around. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. We'd happily stay again.

The breakfast was fresh with lots of choice, and the staff were generally helpful. The man at reception did everything he could for us and was friendly, A+. The hotel is clean and smells good, and the beachside location is central. Parking was handy: plenty of basement spaces, with elevator access to the lobby and rooms, so we could roll our bags in. You enter from the back by the restaurants, through a large metal gate. Press the call button and someone opens it, both when going in and out. Register the car at reception for unlimited daily entry and exit; the daily fee seemed reasonable for TLV by the beach. Our bathroom was clean, the tub had very hot water, the sink worked well, and the toilet was fine. The rooms themselves were very clean too. There were some problems with the room. At first, the patio window wouldn't fully close, and there was construction noise outside, even at 1, 2, 3, and 4 am, so sleep was hard. They moved us to a quieter room where the window sealed properly, but the heater didn't work and only cool air came out, so it was very cold. The beach view through the window was obscured by dirt, though opening the patio window revealed the full view. We left early for another hotel because of the noise. Wi-Fi was weak in the room, just one bar on my laptop, but it did still work.

I had trouble sleeping on the first night because my room was by the lift and a service room, with noise coming from the service room all night. Reception moved me the next morning, and I slept well in the new room. The breakfasts were sumptuous, especially with the sea view, and the hotel was clean throughout. The staff were great. It faces the sea and is close to bus routes. I stayed two nights earlier this week, my first time here, and would definitely return. I can highly recommend it.
