Postel Guesthouse

A cheap, clean hostel with a good atmosphere and location. The rooms were a nice size, and being able to do laundry for free was a real plus. Just bring your own detergent. The kitchen could use more cups, spoons, and pans, though.♦️

The location was good, and the bed was comfortable, but the late-night partying and loud music went past midnight. There was no hot water for our shower on the second morning, and the kitchen cleanliness was questionable. I’d understand that in a hostel if I weren’t being charged a cleaning fee, but I was. We had AC to warm the room, which was lucky since some rooms don’t have that option. Both my partner and I were bitten on the face twice. I’m not sure if it was mosquitoes, as it wasn’t really the season for them. The place has funky decor, at least.

The beach is just a three-minute walk away, and this was the quietest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I don’t understand the other comments about noise. It’s also sociable, since many people live there long term and enjoy a good chat. There’s art everywhere, loads of space, a garden, and a rooftop. The staff are great, my sheets were clean, and I got fresh towels when I asked. For me, it’s the best accommodation deal in Tel Aviv.

We left a night early because staying here was uncomfortable. The sheets were stained, and the replacements were stained too. The rooms and facility were dirty, and the place looked nothing like the photos. The pictures are completely misleading. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to anyone.
