Sweet Inn Apartments - Old Jaffa-Beach Area

The location has a lot of potential, but this was about as bad as anywhere we've stayed. The rooftop bar, a big reason we chose the place, was closed. We bought snacks and drinks to have up there and got locked on the roof. Calls and WhatsApps got no response. After about an hour, we managed to crawl through a broken stained glass window. The next morning we went for coffee, but it was instant, and they didn't have hot water. Seriously? The place is in serious disrepair, probably why the bar is no longer open. It doesn't seem like it would pass a health inspection. We had a superior room with a balcony and struggled just to lock the door. The top lock on the side door wouldn't stay latched, so there was no way to secure the room completely, which is a real problem for travelers. The night before, before we got locked on the roof, we asked about calling a taxi for the morning. He said we'd have to pay him 30 shekels. For making a phone call? I highly discourage staying here.

The rooftop was pleasant, with a kitchen guests could use, including cutlery, plates, and a fridge, and the air conditioning in my room worked well. I also loved how high the ceiling was. But some might call the place 'with character'; to me it was shabby. My double room was clean, though everything in it was very old. The walls were thin, so I could hear everything in the corridors, and groups of young people at this hostel didn't tend to keep quiet. The female shared shower was a long way from my room, which was really inconvenient. The value for money was terrible, though I guess that's Tel Aviv for you. I wasn't happy with the accommodation and wouldn't consider coming back.

The rooftop terrace was an incredible spot to unwind at the end of the day. The hostel's location is perfect for getting out to explore this fascinating country. It has a friendly atmosphere, colonial style, clean rooms, and a very good breakfast. Such a nice place to stay!

The hostel is beautiful and clean, with an awesome rooftop terrace. It did get quite loud at night because some bars are nearby, but the staff were super friendly and we sorted it out. If you want a lovely place and plan to do some partying yourself, this one's a good fit.
