The only real drawback was hearing noise from the room next door, though it was still manageable. Getting to the bomb shelter meant going outside, but it's very close to the hotel. Otherwise, The Urban Chate(l) was the best hotel I've seen here. The staff were kind and helped me with everything, the place was clean, and you can cook whatever you like. There's also a sauna and a pool. I'd happily return, it's really worth it and highly recommended.

A really disappointing stay. When I said the door kept slamming and waking me up, they told me to use earplugs. I also reported a rat in the room and got the response, “I’m in a meeting.” The staff came across as careless and disrespectful, giving sarcastic replies instead of sorting out problems. This place needs new management and basic training in how to treat guests. Definitely not recommended.

We meant to stay a short time and ended up staying much longer. It's cozy and relaxing, in a great part of Tel Aviv, with a sauna, a pool, and amazing staff. Old Jaffa and the beach are both walkable. The price is ridiculously low for what's included. I don't think you'll find anything like it elsewhere in Tel Aviv.
