The Vera

The rooms are a little small, even though we booked a superior room. Still, we'd come back again and again. The whole stay felt like heaven on earth, with service that was beyond excellent and the best breakfast we've ever had, thanks to the chef. The facilities made us feel like there was no need to leave, and when we did head out, everything was nearby in a great part of Tel Aviv, with plenty to do and eat. Thanks to the lovely staff for making this our best vacation so far.

Just a block from Rothschild, with lots of good restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby. The rooms were spotless, and the sheets were soft. Breakfast was fresh and healthy, and the lobby has complimentary coffee and wine all day and night. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

The room was small but worked fine for us, and the bathroom setup might not suit everyone: the shower and toilet are in frosted glass stalls along one wall, with the sink in the open space between them. There's not much privacy if that matters to you. We had a terrific one-night stay at The Vera last week. The central location, lovely design in the lobby and rooms, comfortable bed and linens, and little balcony were all great. We also enjoyed the Israeli wines and snacks, and the rooftop garden was a relaxing place. We didn't have breakfast, but walked through in the morning and it looked tempting, so maybe next time. The staff were warm and extremely helpful, especially Art, who did a lot to make our stay a good one.

Israel is expensive, full stop, but The Vera felt like good value. After a very poor stay in a cheap pod-style hotel, I decided to splurge, and it was a relief to find a comfortable, clean room and sweet staff. Shout out to Abigail at breakfast, Anna, Olga, Rhea, and Nir at the front desk. The breakfast was the highlight. I've had plenty of hotel breakfasts in Israel and abroad, but this one stood out: mostly healthy food, with the occasional pastry, including vegetables, fruit, fresh juices, eggs, homemade bread, chia pudding, and yogurt with toppings. Vegans and omnivores can both eat well and start the day right. The lobby doubles as the breakfast room. The hotel feels like an oasis in Neve Tzedek, with lots of restaurants, shops, and sights easy to reach on foot, and the beach about 12 minutes away. They offer rooftop yoga on weekends.
