The White House Hotel at Dizengoff Square

The woman at reception was nice, though there wasn't much she could do. The reception is down in a basement crammed with suitcases, toilet paper, and cleaning gear, and there were dead cockroaches by the entrance. To reach the elevator for your room, you have to go outside and around the building. There's no lobby or toilet, which is especially rough after a long drive. The elevator broke while we were there, so I had to carry five bags and all the camera equipment down the stairs. It's hard to see what's boutique about the hotel. They could renovate the reception with decent seats and a fountain, and fix the existing toilet. It feels like the owner is treating this place as a cash cow.

There aren't many parking spaces near the hotel, so we left the car in a car park about 300 metres away. The rooms were decent, but there wasn't much that felt boutique about them. The area is lively, with bars staying busy until early morning on Thursday and Friday nights. If that's what you want, this place may be for you. The beach is within walking distance too.

The rooms are a little tired, but the staff are wonderful. They're kind, helpful, and happy to chat, and they make you feel welcome. The location is great, close to shops and the beach. I'd definitely stay here again. Five stars!

HONEST REVIEW The room looks very rundown, like it hasn't been updated in a long time. The lighting is poor and depressing, and the balcony felt so dirty I wouldn't want to sit there. The chair provided was broken too. Service is limited to 10 AM to 4 PM, so make sure you arrive during those hours. There were no extra towels beyond the ones they gave us, and the restrooms had no soap or toilet paper.
