Club Hotel Tiberias

The balcony has a beautiful, elegant view, but the table was dirty, with pigeon droppings, and there were lots of mosquitoes and hissing insects there at night. We found some dirt in the rooms, though they were otherwise considered clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, especially the amazing Sea of Galilee view, and this was our second visit. I personally like the place. The prices are very high: we had booked four days with breakfast, but on arrival they said the reservation and payment did not include meals. Adding breakfast was 100 shekels per person per day, which seemed unreasonably expensive.

You might hear the neighbors because the rooms aren’t soundproof. Other than that, it’s a cute hotel, and the food is delicious.

My husband and I booked three nights but left after just one. It was the dirtiest, most disgusting place I’ve ever been. A total disaster. I can’t recommend it, this place is an embarrassment to all the booking sites!

Housekeeping tried to remove the stain from the couch the next day. They politely left the stained runner and dirty accent pillow in the corner where I’d tossed them, but the crumbling door jambs and missing caulk around the tub were still there. That’s on the owners and management. We finally got a supposedly better room on the 8th floor, where the photos were taken, and at least it didn’t stink. On the first night, we had to use one of our towels to mop our own floor. We’d come with a large tour group and had been promised the top renovated rooms six months earlier. At 7:30 PM, we arrived to find we’d been sent to dirty, horrible floors because the promised renovated rooms had just emptied and weren’t cleaned or available. The 4th floor room smelled strongly of smoke, and “shabby” barely describes it. The hallway smelled like vomit and turned my stomach. With such a large group, everyone was 😡, and there was a scramble for the promised rooms. Some people waited more than four hours for a cleaner room. The hotel hadn’t prepared enough properly cleaned rooms for a big group, despite the booking. It put a terrible stain on an otherwise enjoyable tour. Nobody should have to put up with this in a hotel room (see pics). The place has been trashed, and the owners and management clearly don’t care.
