We used the terrace to celebrate our mom's birthday, with a view of the Taj Mahal, and the staff let us use it and brought the cake we ordered. They were supportive despite the language barrier. We were a family of four sharing one room for half a day in September 2021, after arriving in Agra in the early hours and needing somewhere to freshen up. The room was decent and good enough for a short stay. For check-in arrangements like ours, it's best to go in person.

We were only a 2-10 minute walk away from much better cafés. Our rickshaw driver had first stopped at a nice breakfast place, which was enough for us to tell him we didn't need him for the rest of the day. With so many cafés in Agra, this felt like a tourist scam, and I suspect guides may get a kickback.

I paid $50 for this place, while locals pay $12 a night, and it was a nightmare. The air conditioner didn't work, there was no heating, and I had to ask for a blanket because the doona wasn't enough. There were no blinds or curtains in the bathroom or toilet, so people outside could see in, and there was no hot water. The TV didn't work either. The kitchen and dining area were old and dark. This was nowhere near a 3-star hotel, and I'm not sure it deserved even one star. Disgusting.

The area is quiet, with everything nearby, and it's only a 10 minute walk from the Taj Mahal. The food was very nice, and the staff were really helpful, so I'd book here if you're fine with a basic room and don't expect too much.

Getting to the Taj western gate is easy on foot, and the location is nice. The Wi-Fi kept having problems, and the TV cable connection didn't work either. It's fine if you only need a room to sleep in, but those issues matter if you plan to spend time at the hotel.
