Hotel Rigel Inn

The food tasted good, but its quality still fell short of what you’d expect from a decent place. The bathrooms were awful enough to make you think open defecation would be preferable. Neither the AC nor TV worked properly, and every time I called room service, they’d trick me. That department needs a lot of improvement. I’d only suggest this hotel to someone looking for the worst place in Agra City. It was an experience from hell.

The food was bad enough to leave me wondering if I’d get food poisoning. The Dahl was strangely cold, and I’ve never had chapatis that seemed greasier or less fresh. Service was slow, there was no hot water, and the bathroom was dirty with a leaking toilet and sink. The sink water had nowhere to drain, its pipe was missing 😂. There were hairs on the bed, damp feeling sheets, dirty walls, and broken furniture with dangerous bits sticking out. We’re backpackers and used to hostels and grubby places, and I don’t usually write negative reviews. Still, this was awful for the price. Don’t trust the pictures or go here, a hostel would be better 👌🏼.

After spending an hour there, I left and moved to another hotel. I’d booked Rigel inn online for two days, but on arrival the lounge and entrance were dirty, and only one room boy was around. They showed me seven rooms, and not one was in order. The rooms smelled like a sewer; bathrooms, bedsheets, bins, and floors were dirty too. I believe the pictures online were taken during construction. None of the rooms had basic things like bathroom slippers, a complimentary kit, a mug, water glasses, or a kettle. The room boy was moving hand towels from one room to another, and the greasers weren’t working. Rigel inn, people plan a vacation once a year to have a good time, but places like yours disappoint tourists. I strongly recommend you close the lodge immediately or improve your standards. It was very pathetic, and I can’t find a word worse than pathetic. I don’t understand why people rate this local lodge as a hotel. I was lucky not to stay there.

The rooms are tiny, and the toilets look tacky. The in-house restaurant has very few choices, and if you don’t have a vehicle, you’re stuck because there aren’t any good restaurants nearby.
