Hotel Sidhartha

My husband and I spent one peaceful night here on 11-02-26. We had round-the-clock hot water, and the room was clean and had the basic necessities. It's a simple place for an ordinary traveler. The restaurant food was much appreciated, especially dinner, and the manager was very nice and made us feel at home. Location was hard to beat, just 250-300 m from the Taj Mahal's West gate. I'd highly recommend it to budget travelers.

We stayed for two nights in October 2025, and the owner was gentle and cooperative. The restaurant is another strong point. It's pure vegetarian, and the food was tasty and good quality. You can also see the Taj Mahal from the rooftop. The staff were very well behaved. Our room was a decent size, the bathroom was clean, and the bed could fit three people. The one thing we didn't like was the window AC. A split AC would be better. The location is superb. The Taj Mahal's west gate is only a two-minute walk, while the East/VIP gate for night viewing is about ten minutes away on foot. It was a wonderful experience for us.

The in-house restaurant was the best part of my one-night stay at Hotel Sidhartha, booked through Go Ibibo. Food was good, available at all times, and served promptly, though prices were on the high side: Alo Paratha was 80/- and Veg Grilled Sandwich was 90/-. The other plus is the location inside TAJ WEST GATE, just a few steps from the Taj Mahal entrance. The room had several maintenance and cleanliness problems. It hadn't been cleaned properly, and neither had the table or chair. The bed cover and pillow covers were dirty too. The washroom was old fashioned and needs an upgrade. My stay from 11th - 12th Dec was just okay. If you choose this hotel, book a Super deluxe room. A Standard room may disappoint.

The room was a little small, but that didn't matter to me. I was unsure whether the negative reviews were true before arriving, then all those doubts disappeared once I got there. Everything was up to the mark. Checkout is at 10:00am, but we left at 1:00pm without any extra charge. They also kept our luggage for another 3-4 hours so we could explore Agra properly. It's a two-minute walk from the Taj Mahal, and I recommend this hotel to every visitor. We stayed one night, from 2/02/2026 to 3/02/2026.
