Hotel Tara Palace By Goyal Hotels

The staff were quick to help and very polite throughout my stay. Tara Palace Hotel also felt safe and relaxing, and its location was convenient. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the facilities were up to the mark. I had a wonderful time and would recommend it.

Breakfast was part of my package, but they didn't serve it on Friday, saying there were fewer guests because the Taj Mahal is closed that day. My two days here felt like a waste of money. The staff were rude and unprofessional every time I dealt with them, as if guests were staying for free. The only good thing is the location, very close to the Taj Mahal. The rooms were cramped and unclean, the bathroom was dirty, the AC didn't work, and the remote they gave me was no good either. I strongly recommend not booking this hotel.

The next morning, the power went out while I was bathing, leaving the bathroom completely dark. The generator came on after 10 minutes, and I had to put up with that in the meantime. I had arrived at 10 pm, and it took a full hour for them to change the dirty sheets and pillow cover. I'd booked after making enquiries, but none of the promises were kept. A very bad experience.

The bed mattress was so hard it felt like wood, and I had a backache the next day. People in other rooms were also complaining about dirty sheets and rooms, cracked walls, and ACs that didn't work. I paid 2000 for one night expecting good service, but after payment the problems started. From the outside it looked like a 5 star hotel, and reception seemed fine. Then I found there was no AC remote, so the AC was stuck at 25* and couldn't cool the room even after a full day. They said they were looking for a remote all day, but never found it. I asked to change rooms and they refused, saying none were vacant. They wouldn't compensate me or refund the money. There are plenty of nearby options with decent rooms even on a low budget. I wouldn't stay here again, even for free.
