OYO 10961 near Railway Station

I ended up leaving before my booked stay was over and found somewhere else after getting fed up. The room was cramped and had no ventilation, and staff were very unwilling to provide even basics like drinking water, hot water, or other simple amenities. Service was extremely poor. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to keep your peace and comfort.

The food was good, but service was only average. They spoke sweetly and asked for a five-star rating, though the service didn't feel like even three-star quality. Hot water was usually unavailable, and the air conditioning wasn't up to standard.

The room itself was nice, and apart from the issues below, things were good. But staff behavior made this a bad stay. I had to ask more than once for the room after waiting from 10:30 until 12:30, even though check-in was at 12. I was paying for the room, so I shouldn't have had to keep requesting it. The room-service boy said “okay” twice when I asked for the AC remote, but never brought it. They also didn't give me a room key, saying CCTV meant there was no need to lock the door. I understand the place may be safe, but a camera can record theft or harassment without stopping it. I'd rather lock the room than risk losing my phone and then deal with the police and all the follow-up. You can't control criminals or the police and surveillance systems, but you can take a basic step to protect yourself. I wouldn't check in if they won't provide a room key. It's a matter of privacy.

The bathroom was filthy, water often stopped while I was using it, and tap water came with sand. During five days there, I had to switch rooms six times. The rooms were tiny, the AC kept breaking down, and water even dripped through the ceiling. The owner and staff were rude and ill-mannered. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in Agra, maybe suitable for workers or salespeople.
