Treebo The Royal Taj

The room and service made for a very poor stay at Royal Taj Agra, and the problems started at check-in. I had booked a double bed but got twin beds instead. The room wasn't worth the price, and many of the room and bathroom amenities listed when I booked were missing. There was no hot water, just a rod and instructions to heat it ourselves. We also had to go to reception to fill our own bottles because drinking water wasn't available. The staff behavior was bad too. This was worse than a basic guest house, and I wouldn't recommend visiting even if it were free.

I had to leave right after checking in. The room stank and had PAN spit marks everywhere, with no real cleanliness at all. It looked like an old, overcrowded railway station toilet. Honestly, I'd give it zero stars. Don't even consider this hotel.

The bathroom drainage was so poor that water from my bath flooded into the room, and there wasn't any hot water despite the cold weather. The rooms and amenities advertised online were nothing like what was actually available. Staff behavior and room service were both bad, and nobody took the complaints seriously. It wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend staying at The Royal Taj Hotel.

We checked out within an hour, even though it was late at night, because the room was too unpleasant to stay in. Toilets were broken, the blanket was torn, dust was everywhere, and the lift didn't work. When we reported it, they weren't willing to refund us. We'd trusted @agoda since we usually book through them, so seeing such a poor property listed there was especially disappointing. The experience was disgusting and shook our trust in the platform.
